FEST-Swing 1.2a2: GUI Testing Made Easy

We are proud to announce the release of FEST-Swing 1.2a2!

FEST-Swing is a Java library that provides a fluent interface for functional Swing GUI testing. This library provides an easy-to-use API that makes creation and maintenance of GUI tests easy.

This is the second alpha release planned for version 1.2. This new release focuses on bug fixes.

Release notes


  • [FEST-103] – Robot.pressAndReleaseKey(int arg0, int ... arg1) – modifiers don’t work.
  • [FEST-118] – enterText not behaving correctly in vnc4server. Thanks to Olivier DOREMIEUX.
  • [FEST-119] – requireSelection in JTreeFixture does not work with invisible roots. Thanks to Eric Kolotyluk and Jeanette (Kleopatra).
  • [FEST-132] – KeyStrokeMap is not picking up German locale correctly.

New Feature

  • [FEST-32] – ContainerFixture#dialog(long timeout) and similar methods (issue 168.) Thanks to Juhos Csaba-Zsolt.

FEST-Swing can be downloaded here (file fest-swing-1.2a2.zip.) FEST requires Java SE 5.0 or later.
