About Me

Speaking about FEST at JavaOne 2010 with wife Yvonne
My name is Alex Ruiz. I’m a programmer. My interests include Java, API design, IDEs and testing. I’m author of various technical articles and speaker at international conferences.
I work as Software Engineer at Google, as part of the Android SDK team.
I’m the creator of FEST, an open source project that aims at making developer testing simpler and easier. FEST provides fluent interfaces for Swing UI testing, Assertions and Java Reflection.
In a previous life, I created Declarative Caching for Spring which provided declarative, transparent, code-free caching using Aspect-Oriented Programming techniques. As far as I know, the caching module is still widely used.
I can be reached at firstName.lastName.05 at gmail.com.
