Colette 1.0 released!
I’m so happy and proud to announce that I’m a dad! Our baby girl, Colette, was born on June 13th, at 3:45 PM. Both mom and baby are doing fine. Today is my first Father’s Day! Happy Father’s Day to all dads out there! :)
I won’t attend JavaOne…for personal reasons

It’s official: I won’t be attending JavaOne this year. The main (and happy) reason is that our first baby will be arriving any time during that week! My name is Alex Ruiz. I'm a programmer with special interest in Java, API design, testing and OOP. I'm the creator of FEST, an open source project that aims at making testing of Swing and JavaFX user interfaces (and testing in general) easier.
I work as a Software Engineer in the JavaFX Controls team at Oracle.
